When it can pay later to show your successful bluff in Poker

poker-bluff.jpg

Pretty amazing article from Steve Rosenbloom - when to bluff? This article shows you the when and when not to bluff in poker, and then show said bluff.

The decision to bluff is one thing. The decision to show a successful bluff is another, usually determined by whether you want to keep opponents guessing or believe that revealing your play might put the victim on tilt.

Here's how young, talented pro Faraz Jaka played it in a hand from the World Poker Tour's $15,000-buy-in Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic at Las Vegas' Bellagio in 2009.

More Chips at Aria Casino with Phil Ivey Poker Room

Ivey.jpg

The newest casino on the Las Vegas strip, the Aria, is set to open a Phil Ivey solo table poker room. Having won millions in both tournaments and cash games, Ivey is considered by many to be the best poker player alive surpassing even the likes of the great Doyle Brunson. Indeed, Ivey is a regular in the famous Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio where the biggest poker games in Vegas are held.

The Aria Phil Ivey Poker room is expected to spread some of the most expensive poker games in Vegas and will likely become a direct competitor to the famed Bobby’s Room. To celebrate the opening of the room the Aria will be hosting a celebrity and VIP tournament with $250,000 on offer for the winner. In addition to the prize money the winning player will also get a chance to battle Phil Ivey heads-up for a further $250,000.
