It seems to be a little late but it seems that Konami has created a casino sim to keep us all busy and they're also calling Hold 'em Poker - All-In Poker - go figure.
All-In Poker for the Xbox heads to retail in March; casino sim features five poker variants, online tournaments.
Whether you are a card shark or a game developer, the poker game is apparently where the money is at. The explosion in popularity of the gambling game has led the way for a flurry of poker games on consoles and handhelds. The latest publisher to throw its hat onto the poker table is Konami, which today announced that All-In Poker for the Xbox will begin taking bets this March.
All-In Poker will feature five poker games, including the wildly popular Texas Hold 'Em, Omaha, and Seven Card Stud. Solo players will learn when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em with "extensive tutorials," and gamble in practice, collection, and bounty modes. Those who like to take virtual money from real opponents can jump onto Xbox Live and take part in online tournaments in an attempt to see their profile on the top of the online ranking list.
Josh from Apache Poker chips was kind enough to send along samples of their Deadwood poker chips and others to review. So far we're pretty impressed with these chips as they are indeed not a composite chip and the overall graphics and quality of the stamping is pretty good. We'll have a full review soon.

Inside the Poker Mind: Essays on Hold 'em and General Poker Concepts
You're going to need an essay to read over an entire book after a long night of online poker. This book from John Feeney should fit the bill and we've found it quite relaxing to read.
John Feeney spent his youth in Phoenix Arizona. After attending the University of Colorado he moved to San Diego to pursue graduate work in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology. His interest in poker was sparked while observing a hold ’em game during a weekend trip to Las Vegas. True to his background, he took an academic approach to the game, studying the poker literature, consulting with David Sklansky, and getting the requisite playing experience. By the time he received his Ph.D., poker was beginning to compete with psychology for his attention. He soon began to log more hours in the cardrooms of Southern California than in his field of psychology, until ultimately poker became his primary focus.
The name Harley Davidson is synonymous with quality and style. Until relatively recently, the only way you could add a touch of Harley panache to your life was to buy one of their world-famous bikes, but now a new range of HD products makes indisputable elegance available to all of us.
These Harley Davidson Poker Chips will elevate the sensory side of your game to the next level. Housed in a stunning lacquered humidor, the chips themselves are made to match. They weigh a solid 11.5 grams each, are printed in full colour and will serve to show your opponents that you aren’t messing about.
Another week and another Best of the Blogpire. It looks like the Mac OS X is finally getting some GPS support: Garmin Announces MAC OS X Support and other devices like the new Sling device are making SlingPlayer.
You need more poker jokes at your poker game right? Well - maybe not but if you get this book you might be able to stand out or put someone on tilt that much easier. This appears to be the only book on poker jokes we can find - are there others? Will poker jokes ever go mainstream? :-)
I'll tell you right now. If you're playing low-limit Texas Hold 'em and want to improve - then get this book. We recently re-read this gem and can tell you without doubt - this is gem. The book has also recently been expanded and has over 100 pages of new material. Great stuff and if you don't know about the ways of the semi-bluff then this book has the best explanation I've ever read.
Welcome to 2006 and Happy New Year from Blogpire Productions. We can say now officially after playing this for the past 3 weeks - it's very good. The game really tries to give you the feeling of making the final table along with the players you'll meet (all the famous ones) acting and playing like they would. Great stuff.
As the officially licensed video game of the World Series of Poker, this game allows players the same intensity and excitement of going all-in at the WSOP final table and taking home the championship. Square off in a setting that realistically mimics Harrah's Rio Casino with ESPN presentation-style commentators calling the action. You'll start by creating your very own poker face, then you'll need to bluff and read tells to come out on top.
These one of a kind limited to 200 poker chip set royalty illustrated chips look very interesting. I'm not so sure how much I care about how limited an edition of chips are but these do look great.
