We tend to like Phil Gordon. Most of the time we see him on Celebrity Poker Showdown and he can crack us up. Sure - he's a former millionaire turned poker snob, but we love him anyways. We're going to pick this book up after reading the description on Amazon. Looks pretty darn good.
"Phil Gordon plays poker with the best players in the world. He has won -- and lost -- in tournaments and cash games around the globe, all the while studying the game and learning from every hand dealt. As the resident expert and cohost of Celebrity Poker Showdown, Phil has quickly become one of the most sought-after teachers of No Limit Texas Hold'em. It's a tough game. But anyone can become a winning player with the right amount of courage, patience, aggression, observation, and, perhaps most important, dedication to becoming a better player."
I had no idea a Poker game was coming out for the PSP. Right now I've been playing a Nintendo DS Poker game which kind of sucks. I hope this new game from Activision is decent when it comes out this Fall.
"World Series of Poker has the feel of the actual tournament, recreating the complete ESPN presentation style to add drama and suspense. All the sanctioned poker various of the World Series of Poker are available, including Texas Hold 'Em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha, and 5 Card Draw. With the flexible character creator, you can create your own poker face, wear Vegas-style threads and upgrade your looks/clothes as you gain money."
Neophyte Poker Chips Available at BuyPokerChips.com
The Neophyte clay poker chips are both affordable and we think they don't look that bad.
"Our Neophyte poker chip line represents an attractive mid-range poker chip that is ideally suited towards value-conscious consumers. Neophyte, by definition, means beginner or novice, so it’s appropriate that this line was added to our offerings as a starter set for customers that weren’t quite ready to drop $500-$600 on a set of true casino-quality chips such as our Modern Clay or Archetype lines."
We also added a new title to the Blogpire - The Cooking News. We think you'll enjoy the recipes, wine info, and other cooking related items each day. Michael & Jennifer are both total foodies and will bring you the best of what they find each week.
Okay. These are just plain scary. Imagine playing poker with this guy and trying to keep a straight face. The Madhatter Ace - made of velvet, fully lined and size adjustable. I wonder what you can hide inside that hat?

A great poker book with some serious poker chip fun - well at least in a chair. This novel based on the 2013 World Series of Poker is an excellent read. The futuristic setting was amazing. Even someone who knows little to nothing about poker will find this novel exciting and very entertaining. There were great transitions throughout the novel intertwining the past and the present.
