World Poker Tour: Season 1 on DVD
We remember the good old days of poker being - well - not as popular. We can also say, the World Poker Tour helped us get hooked on poker right after we were in Vegas for our first visit to the World Series of Poker in 2001. If you haven't seen the first season and can't wait to see it on TV in reruns - get this.
"In WPT Season I, we have the broadcast that we now love in its embryo stage. It arrived just before the full-fledged poker boom, and the tournaments shown are smaller, and their prizes smaller, than the ones we now know. Just as one would expect, Mike Sexton is present with all his syrupy enthusiasm and Vince Van Patton plays his model sidekick throughout. Interestingly, Shana Hiatt has a more wholesome, brunette appearance."
