Charity Poker Tournament Sponsored by SportsCrew Sends Winner to WSOP:
SportsCrew.com recently announced the winner of its latest charity online poker tournament. Contender Glenn Rezaee won the grand prize of a seat at the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event. In addition, $60,000 in tournament proceeds was donated to the Shriners Hospital for Children.This is the second charity poker tournament over the past month that SportsCrew has sponsored to benefit the Shriners. In total, the online poker and sports betting portal donated more than $100,000 to the Shriners already this year. SportsCrew plans to sponsor a number of additional charity online poker tournaments throughout the year, including one more for the Shriners. In all, SportsCrew aims to generate charity funds of $500,000 this year, to be donated to various organizations, including The American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Society, the Special Olympics and of course, the Shriners Hospital for Children.
